See the Bruvis shipwreck by the shore and pass the seaweed-roof houses, a distinctive feature of the Jiaodong coast.
Walk along Torch 8th Street, take a transparent sightseeing bus along the scenic coastal road and explore Hanlefang Food Street.

Visit Penglai Pavilion, the Water City and the Eight Immortals statues, where coastal scenery meets the legend of the Eight Immortals.
Continue to the World Kite Museum in Weifang to discover kite design and folk craft. The museum closes on Mondays; Yangjiabu Folk Village replaces it if closed.

Explore Mount Tai with return cable-car rides included, visiting Taohuayuan, Nantianmen, Tianjie and Yuhuangding.
Look across the hills from stone paths and historic buildings. Even with the cable car, walking and steps remain part of the visit; wear shoes with good grip.

Sights worth travelling for

Where red roofs meet the sea

Qingdao has two faces worth lingering over: red-roofed streets under leafy trees, and an open waterfront of sails and skyline. Xiaoyushan and Badaguan Taipingjiao bring those contrasts into view.

Weihai, with the sea at every turn

Torch 8th Street opens towards the water, while the coastal road follows the shoreline’s curves. Seaweed-roof houses and the shipwreck add fishing-village and maritime character beyond a simple blue-sea photograph.

Penglai, a legend framed by the sea

Penglai Pavilion, the Water City and the Eight Immortals statues set a familiar legend against a real coastal landscape. Historic architecture and an open horizon make the setting as compelling as the story.

Mount Tai, more than a mountain view

Known historically as Daizong, Mount Tai combines monumental scenery with deep cultural meaning. Gateways, stone paths and summit buildings give the landscape its character; return cable-car rides are included.

Langya, an evening you step inside

Built around immersive cultural performances, Langya is more than a stroll through historic-style streets. A large indoor stage, illuminated lanes and outdoor water-and-fire shows create a varied evening; premium seats are included for the indoor National Show: Langya.

A city story with a brewery chapter

Beer heritage is an unmistakable part of Qingdao’s identity. Explore the museum’s brewing and brand history, then finish with a tasting—a city experience with more depth than simply raising a glass.

Spring blossoms

3–25°C

Long sleeves, a light warm layer and a windproof jacket. Coastal mornings and evenings can feel cool; keep an extra warm layer for Mount Tai. Blossoms depend on timing.

06–08

Summer by the sea

19–30°C

Pack breathable clothes, a sun hat, rain protection and a light jacket. The city is warmer, but breezy coast and mountain stops can still need a layer. Wear grippy walking shoes.

09–11

Autumn colour

3–24°C

Bring long sleeves and adaptable warm layers. Mornings and evenings become cooler, with a thicker jacket useful in late autumn. Autumn departures are not currently listed.

12–02

A crisp winter coast

−3–7°C

Bring thermals, a warm coat, scarf, gloves and hat. Coastal and mountain winds can feel colder. Winter swan and seagull visits remain weather dependent.

These are broad seasonal temperature ranges for Qingdao, not a departure-date forecast. Higher areas on Mount Tai may be colder. We will remind you to check the latest weather before travel.

Blossoms, birds & seasonal fruit picking

November–March: swans at Rongcheng Swan Lake and seagull feeding at Zhanqiao, weather and natural conditions permitting.
Mid-March–late April: magnolias, forsythia and cherry blossoms at Qingdao Zhongshan Park. Mid–late March: peach blossoms in Feicheng, Tai’an. Early–late April: peonies at Weifang China Peony Garden or pear blossoms in Laiyang, Yantai.
April–May: strawberries in Tai’an; June: nectarines or apricots in Tai’an; July–August: peaches in Qingdao. Strawberry picking includes 250g per person. Nectarines, apricots and peaches include tasting and two extra fruits to take away; additional quantities cost extra.
Autumn seasonal guide: grapes and apples in Yantai in September, apples in October; grapes include 250g and apples include tasting plus two extra fruits. Qingdao chrysanthemums are estimated from mid-October to mid-November, and Badaguan autumn leaves from late October to mid-November. Autumn departures are not yet listed.
