Northern Xinjiang Winter Wonderland — the full journey
DAY 01
DEPARTURE ✈ TRANSIT
- Meet at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and travel on the listed flight itinerary.
DAY 02
URUMQI → (400km) FUHAI
- Travel along the photogenic S21 Desert Highway.
- Stop for photos at Kalamaili Desert Park.
- Pass Ulungur Lake and the Irtysh River en route.
DAY 03
BURQIN → (155km) HEMU VILLAGE
- Travel by seven-seat vehicle to Hemu Village Scenic Area, including the shuttle bus, and take in the snow-covered village from the viewing platform.
- Ride Cable Car No. 1 to Yunxiao Peak for Altay Mountain views, or choose an optional ski experience at Jikepulin Ski Resort; ski equipment is not included.
- After dinner, experience splashing water into ice in the hotel courtyard.
DAY 04
JIADENGYU → KANAS
- Travel by seven-seat vehicle into Kanas Scenic Area, including the shuttle bus, for Crouching Dragon Bay, Moon Bay, Fairy Bay and the birch forest.
- Visit Guanyu Pavilion when weather, capacity limits and other operating conditions permit.
- Explore Urho Ghost City with the battery-car ride included.
- Pass the landscape of thousands of oil wells.
DAY 05
BURQIN → (450km) DUSHANZI
- See Sayram Lake's ice wall, ice bubbles and blue ice; conditions depend on the weather.
- A group drone photo is planned when conditions permit.
DAY 06
DUSHANZI → (320km)
- Sayram Lake (Our Tour Coach Will Enter The Scenic Area)
DAY 07
SAYRAM LAKE → (100km)
- Watch sunrise at Sayram Lake, subject to weather.
- Continue to Bole and take a second-class high-speed train to Urumqi.
DAY 08
URUMQI ✈ TRANSIT
- Transfer to the airport and begin the return journey via the listed transit flights.
DAY 09
ARRIVAL KUALA LUMPUR
- Arrive in Kuala Lumpur, concluding the journey.
