PLACES TO FALL IN LOVE WITH
Timber buildings against rock faces, stone lanes and a stream below give Wangxian Valley its distinctive character. Slow down for the layered architecture and the valley’s changing perspectives.
Water, bamboo and tiled courtyards shape this mountain retreat. As evening arrives, warm reflections and Zhongmiao Pavilion’s light displays lend the village a different mood.

LAYER UP, WANDER WELL
Allow for contrasts between city and mountain, day and night. Flexible layers make it easier to stay comfortable throughout the journey.

Wear long sleeves with a removable jacket and pack a warm middle layer. Add warmth for mornings, evenings and riverside visits.
Keep a warm coat, windproof layer, scarf and gloves accessible. Conditions on Mount Sanqing and Gexian Mountain can be colder than in Nanchang.
Choose comfortable grippy shoes, rain protection and a light day bag. Cableways do not remove all walking or steps. Check both city and mountain forecasts before departure.

There are no shopping stops. Taoxichuan and Wanshou Palace Quarter are sightseeing visits; personal food, souvenirs and other purchases are at your own expense.
Mount Sanqing is visited over two days. Day 6 includes return Jinsha cableway rides, Nanqingyuan, Giant Python Emerging and Goddess of the East. Day 7 includes return Gangshou cableway rides, Sanqing Fudi, Sanqing Palace and Monkey King Admiring Treasure. Walking and steps are still required.
No. The cliffside guesthouses are viewed from outside. That night is at Grand Hotel Shangrao Shanglv or similar class. One separate night is arranged at Gexiancun Resort Zhenshansu Hotel or similar class.
The Ancient Kiln Folk Customs Exhibition Area, Gan River night cruise and Hongcun Scenic Area package costs RMB480 per person; confirm participation conditions when booking. Lunch on day 1, dinners on days 4 and 5, and personal expenses are extra.
The journey includes two days on Mount Sanqing and a visit to Gexian Mountain. Cableways are included, but stone lanes, mountain paths and steps remain. Tell us about any mobility limitations before booking so we can discuss suitability.
