DAY 01
Kuala Lumpur ✈ Cairo
- After arriving in Cairo, visit the Citadel of Saladin and Mosque of Muhammad Ali with admission included
- Visit Khan el-Khalili Bazaar and an Egyptian perfume shop
DAY 02
Cairo & Giza → Aswan
- Visit the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx with the listed camel ride; entry inside the pyramids is excluded.
- See Saqqara, Memphis and the Grand Egyptian Museum.
- Fly domestically to Aswan.
DAY 03
Aswan · High Dam · Felucca → Nile Cruise
- Visit the Aswan High Dam and Unfinished Obelisk.
- Embark on the Nile cruise and sail around Elephantine Island by traditional felucca.
- View the Botanical Garden area and overnight aboard.
DAY 04
Abu Simbel · Kom Ombo · Edfu
- Travel early to Abu Simbel Temple.
- Return to the cruise, sail to Kom Ombo and visit its double temple.
- Continue toward Edfu and overnight aboard.
DAY 05
Edfu · Esna Lock · Luxor
- Travel by caleche to Edfu's Temple of Horus with admission included; during peak periods, we will arrange a bus instead
- Sail through the Esna lock toward Luxor
- Visit Luxor Market and join the Egyptian galabeya evening; costumes are at guests' own expense
- Visit a papyrus store and overnight aboard the Nile cruise
DAY 06
Luxor Temples ✈ Cairo
- Disembark and visit the Colossi of Memnon, Karnak and Luxor temples.
- Continue to the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut and Valley of the Kings.
- Fly domestically back to Cairo.
DAY 07
Cairo → Alexandria → Cairo
- Visit the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, Pompey's Pillar and the Roman Amphitheatre.
- Photo stop at Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque.
- Enter Qaitbay Citadel before returning to Cairo.
DAY 08
Cairo ✈ Kuala Lumpur
- Transfer to Cairo Airport and fly back to Kuala Lumpur on the listed itinerary.
DAY 09
Arrive Kuala Lumpur
- Arrive in Kuala Lumpur, concluding the Egypt and Nile cruise journey.
